Richie Shaffer homered and the Biscuits stole home for the first time in five years, beating the Birmingham Barons 4-3 in the opening game of Monday's doubleheader.
The finale will begin around 5:30 p.m.
Montgomery scored all of its runs in the third inning.
Taylor Motter, whose triple brought in Jake Hager with the first run, stole home as part of a double-steal to make it 2-0. Cameron Seitzer drew a two-out walk before he and Motter moved up.
The steal of home was the first for the Biscuits since April 15, 2009, when Desmond Jennings did it, also part of a first-and-third double-steal.
Shaffer, at bat for the double-steal, hit a two-run home run to left-center field, giving the Biscuits a 4-0 lead.
Birmingham answered with three runs in the fourth. Josh Richmond had an RBI single and Chris Curley a two-run double.
