The Biscuits have put relief pitcher Matt Nevarez on the disabled list with a shoulder injury and added former Auburn pitcher Austin Hubbard from Triple-A Durham.
Nevarez pitched an inning Monday at Huntsville in his first appearance since May 14. He missed the first two weeks of the season due to shoulder tightness and has a 2.31 ERA in nine appearances.
Hubbard started the year with high-Class A Charlotte before jumping last week to the Bulls.
The 24-year-old Homewood native had a 3.00 ERA in 12 appearances for the Stone Crabs, totaling 12 hits allowed and 25 strikeouts in 18 innings. In one game for the Bulls, Hubbard gave up five runs and recorded two outs. He was a 14th-round draft pick in 2010.
