The sprinklers kicked on at Riverwalk Stadium during the seventh inning Friday, causing a nine-minute delay.
Biscuits catcher Mark Thomas' flyout to left field apparently coaxed the sprinklers into action. After they finally succumbed to the off switch, the grounds staff had to apply drying agent to the mound and around home plate.
While the fans waited, there was some situation-specific musical entertainment.
