Wednesday: Biscuits 10, Braves 0

Keith Castillo shined offensively and Jake Thompson threw 6 1/3 innings to lead the Biscuits in a 10-0 win over the Mississippi Braves on Wednesday.

Castillo, playing in just his third game this season, had four RBIs and scored three times. He doubled twice, singled and walked. Castillo has been with the Biscuits all season but didn't join the active roster until May 18. He was 1-for-6 in his two previous games.

Thompson (4-5) gave up six hits with two walks and four strikeouts to win his second straight start. Thompson and Braulio Lara combined on Montgomery's fifth shutout.

Riccio Torrez also had a season-high four RBIs for Montgomery, which scored three runs in the second inning, three in the third and four in the fourth.

Montgomery had not scored in double figures in its last 30 games. The Biscuits' 14 hits were one shy of a season high.
