Mikie Mahtook hit a first-inning home run and Enny Romero extended his shutout streak with the Biscuits' 1-0 win over the Jackson Generals on Sunday.
Romero gave up three hits over six innings and outdueled Jackson's Taijuan Walker, the top pitching prospect in the Seattle organization.
Romero (3-1) has a streak of 18 2/3 shutout innings. He walked one and struck out five. Walker (3-5) allowed just four hits over seven innings with two walks and six strikeouts.
C.J. Riefenhauser and Juan Sandoval finished off a four-hitter. It marked Montgomery's fourth shutout this season.
Mahtook homered with two outs in the first inning, lifting a 1-2 pitch from Walker over the left-field wall. The Biscuits finished with just three hits.
