MLB does it again

Major League Baseball sent out its annual release Monday applauding interleague play and bragging that interleague games drew more this weekend than the regular games have this season.

The interleague average was 36,704 and the regular games averaged 29,904, a 22.7 percent increase, according to the MLB release.

If it's such a great draw, then have interleague games in early April. In the middle of the week. In 40-degree weather.

I'm waiting on the release that says Saturday games in July outdraw Wednesday games in April.
