With some independent leagues getting started, we're adding a few locals to that list -- but I've also decided to add one major-leaguer who I'm sure to get a few e-mails about.
"Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Gabe Gross lists his residence as Auburn and we've always included Auburn residents in that graphic." -- That's how I'm answering any complaint from Dothan on that subject.

Kevin Bass of Auburn, Schaumburg Flyers (season starts next Friday)
Evan Cherry of Montgomery, Alexandria Aces (apparently hasn't played yet, no statistics listed)
Jarrod Patterson of Clanton, Gary SouthShore RailCats (season starts next Friday)
Bass graduated from Fayette County High and apparently now lives in Auburn (just like Gross). Patterson was on the list two years ago but listed Birmingham as his hometown last year and came off it. Now he's back on.
Remember, it's not where you went to school that gets you on that graphic -- there are way too many Auburn University and University of Alabama and Troy University and AUM and Faulkner and Alabama State people out there. (Well, maybe not that last one.)
