Biscuits face 'dry' night, adjust rotation, add AFL pitcher

Barring a collapse, the Biscuits will make the playoffs, but tonight's game is still the final scheduled home game of the year, so it's fireworks and an expected large crowd.

It could be a "dry" night for Montgomery, which faces Carolina right-hander Chris Volstad, the Florida Marlins' No. 1 prospect. (Yes, I made a very whimsical historical pun, despite the slight spelling variation, that I'm thinking almost nobody will understand without hitting this link.)

With Tuesday's doubleheader, Biscuits starter Chris Mason was facing only three days rest before his next start Saturday at Jacksonville. He's not anymore. Instead, Mike Prochaska drew the short straw, while Mason won't pitch until Sunday.

Also, Prochaska has been added to Tampa Bay's party at the Arizona Fall League.

The Biscuits' magic number is three entering tonight.
