Montgomery has changed its starter for tonight's game and Saturday's is now up in the air. Tony Peguero will start tonight in place of James Houser (??).
Houser, manager Billy Gardner and pitching coach Neil Allen had a long, closed-door meeting after Wednesday's game that eventually involved field coordinator Jim Hoff.
Saturday's starter is TBA. Jon Barratt has a sore shoulder and will "probably be out another week," Gardner said. His replacement will depend on who is needed tonight.
Zany BirdZerk! is in the house tonight while the Biscuits and Suns play for the South Division lead.
Talked to Rays scouting director R.J. Harrison late last night and he was quite pleased with the team's signing success this summer. Tampa Bay signed its first 16 picks and 20 of its first 21, including (of course) No. 1 overall David Price, who worked out at Tropicana Field today.
Auburn/Alabama Night is Saturday, so we'll see what I can stir up from that.
