Spring came within a single of hitting for the cycle with Class A Columbus.
I'm not as inspired at the moment as I was last year when Shawn Riggans notched a three-bagger (see blog entry of May 13, 2006), so I won't write about the epic nature of this event.
Friday's wasn't the first triple of Spring's career -- May 13 was Riggans' first -- but Spring's previous was July 1, 2005.
