Montgomery's Gabriel Martinez won the Southern League's weekly hitting award today.
Martinez was 13-of-30 with seven RBIs last week, including a four-RBI game in the series opener at Birmingham. He also hit an RBI single that capped a six-run ninth-inning rally in the finale that assured a series sweep.
Jacksonville's Clayton Kershaw, who allowed four hits and totaled 18 strikeouts in 13 innings, was the top pitcher. He carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning of his start Saturday at Mobile.
