New Biscuits pitcher C.J. Riefenhauser brought something extra with him from high-Class A Charlotte. He has pinkeye in his right eye.
"I've been taking drugs for four days now," Riefenhauser said.
He pitched Wednesday for the Stone Crabs and likely will make a relief appearance at Jacksonville on Sunday behind Jake Thompson. He'll likely make his first start for Montgomery during the next home series with Jackson.
Merrill Kelly is scheduled to start Friday in place of the departed Alex Colome.
