Braeden Schlehuber homered and the Mississippi Braves held the Biscuits to three hits over the final six innings of Friday's 8-2 win at Riverwalk Stadium.
Biscuits reliever Andrew Bellatti threw three no-hit innings after Mississippi took a 4-2 lead in the fourth. Mycal Jones stole home to cap a three-run fourth off starter Enny Romero (1-1).
Kevin Kiermaier tripled to start the game and scored on Robby Price's infield single, while Todd Glaesmann and Kyeong Kang hit back-to-back doubles to begin the second inning, giving Montgomery a 2-0 lead.
The Biscuits had five hits through three innings but added just three more. Two of the three came in the ninth inning.
Schlehuber's two-run homer came in the eighth inning. Christian Bethancourt added a two-run double in the ninth and finished with three RBIs.
