Jacksonville outfielder Christian Yelich and Mobile left-hander David Holmberg won the Southern League's weekly awards.
Yelich was 10-for-22 with six RBIs and seven runs scored for the week. He had six extra-base hits, including two triples and a home run in Monday's 5-for-6 night. Yelich, the top Miami Marlins prospect still in the minor leagues, has a .329 average, 17 RBIs and 17 runs scored in 19 games.
Holmberg fired eight shutout innings in his only start for the week. He gave up five hits with no walks and eight strikeouts for his first win at Chattanooga on Thursday. Holmberg is 1-2 with a 1.98 ERA. He's given up 34 hits in 41 innings and is 5-of-7 on quality starts.
