Jeremy Hellickson, after his first career major league loss, has been demoted by the Rays ... to Class A Charlotte ... and told to go to the bullpen. OK, the move is mostly so he can have an impact in this year's race.
He's expected back in the majors when rosters expand Sept. 1. Hellickson was the first player in the modern era to start a major league career with three straight quality starts. He won all three before
losing a no-decision Friday at Oakland.

Actually, he didn't get the loss yesterday. He's still 3-0 and all four of his starts were quality starts. I still don't see why they sent him to Charlotte rather than Durham, though.
