Nevin Ashley knocked in a career-high five runs, Paul Phillips and three relievers combined on a three-hitter, and the Biscuits downed the Chattanooga Lookouts 9-2 on Sunday.
Phillips gave up one hit -- a bunt single with one out in the fourth inning -- over five shutout innings. Matt Gorgen (one inning) and Dane De La Rosa (two) followed.
Craig Albernaz, normally a catcher, worked the ninth in his second career pitching appearance. Jerry Sands hit his 32nd home run off the scoreboard against Albernaz, who surrendered two hits and a walk. Albernaz struck out two.
