Cooper Moseley snared by Cardinals

Montgomery native Cooper Moseley, who played this spring at Central Alabama Community College, was a 45th-round pick in the baseball draft Wednesday.

Moseley, who went to the St. Louis Cardinals, graduated from Success Unlimited Academy, a modified home-school program on Fairline Drive in southeast Montgomery. He went to Georgia as a freshman.

The right-handed pitcher was 3-4 with a 2.90 ERA, five saves and 65 strikeouts in 49 2/3 innings this season. The second baseman also hit .418, scored 53 times and had 50 RBIs in 48 games.
