Hot-hitting Hot Rods score 22 runs

The Bowling Green went all football today, beating the Lake County Captains 22-12. Yes, 22-12.

Tyler Goeddel homered twice, singled twice, scored four times and had six RBIs. Todd Glaesmann doubled twice, homered, singled, scored three times and had five RBIs. Drew Vettleson, who entered as a pinch-runner in the eighth inning, homered, singled, scored three runs and had five RBIs.

Goeddel hit a grand slam in the eighth to give the Rods an 11-8 lead. Vettleson's three-run homer highlighted an 11-run ninth.

Lake County reliever Kyle Blair blew a save in the eighth and took one for the team. He worked 3 1/3 innings, allowing 10 hits and 13 runs.
