Bowling Green Hot Rods pitcher Jeff Ames and outfielder Andrew Toles won the Rays' organizational minor league awards for April.
Ames was 3-0 with a 1.80 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 25 innings over five starts. Toles had a .368 batting average, 21 RBIs and 14 runs scored in 22 games. Toles' 15 extra-base hits were the most by a Tampa Bay minor leaguer.
