Mikie Mahtook makes his first start of the season in center field when the Biscuits play the Mississippi Braves tonight.
With regular center fielder Kevin Kiermaier taking the day off, Mahtook moves over from right. Mahtook has started 28 games in right this year. Kiermaier has a large ice bag on his right leg during batting practice.
Kiermaier also became Montgomery's leadoff hitter after Ty Morrison's elbow injury. Shawn O'Malley, who has two previous games in the leadoff spot, makes it three today.
