Friday's Rays roundup

Bulls 8, Gwinnett 5
Brandon Guyer
was 3-for-5 with three runs scored, a double, a three-run home run and four RBIs. Desmond Jennings reached three times and scored twice. Robinson Chirinos had three singles and two RBIs.

Hot Rods 7, South Bend 2
Phil Wunderlich
homered, doubled and had five RBIs. Cody Rogers scored four times with a single, two walks, a hit by pitch and a steal. C.J. Riefenhauser (5-5) went seven innings with two runs, nine hits, a walk and eight strikeouts. Bowling Green also clinched its first playoff berth.

Aberdeen 7, Renegades 2
Bryan Bryles
hit a two-run double with two outs in the ninth inning for Hudson Valley in its season opener. Chris Winder and Cesar Guillen had two hits each. Mickey Jannis threw four no-hit relief innings, allowing an unearned run with two walks. Wilking Rodriguez was the Opening Day starter. He gave up six runs in 3 1/3 innings.
