Montgomery's Stephen Vogt will participate in the home run derby at the Southern League All-Star Game on June 21.
His competition: Jackson's Jake Shaffer, Tennessee's Matt Spencer, Chattanooga's Kyle Russell, Tennessee's Ryan Flaherty, Jacksonville's Luke Montz, Mobile's Paul Goldschmidt and Birmingham's Christian Marrero.
Entering Monday night's games, Goldschmidt had 21 homers this year, eight ahead of Montz and Russell for the league lead. Flaherty sat at 12. Marrero and Spencer each had 10, while Vogt and Shaffer had hit nine.
