Ruggiano holds on, focuses on being ready

Former Biscuits outfielder Justin Ruggiano has been back with the Rays for three days, but today may be his last.

With shortstop Jason Bartlett to play a second (and final) rehab game tonight for Triple-A Durham, the Rays will likely send Ruggiano back down and activate Bartlett. Ruggiano says he doesn't obsess with those possibilities. He can't, or he won't be ready for his next at-bat.

"I can only focus on keeping myself ready to play," Ruggiano said.

He hasn't played since being promoted over the weekend. He has a .200 average in 52 major league games from 2007-08.
