Leslie Anderson and Emeel Salem homered to help the Biscuits beat the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx 4-3 on Tuesday.
Anderson’s homer came in the sixth and Salem’s in the seventh, giving Montgomery a 4-2 lead. West Tenn’s Johan Limonta homered in the eighth to make it a one-run game.
Heath Rollins (1-0) worked a perfect two innings and recorded his first win since returning to the Biscuits. Matt Gorgen pitched the ninth for his 13th save.
The Jaxx led 2-0 after a half-inning. Biscuits starter Alex Torres issued walks to the first two hitters and both scored. Montgomery answered in the bottom of the first. Nevin Ashley hit an RBI triple and scored on a Chris Nowak flyout.
