Alex Cobb, after giving up three runs within the game’s first four batters, retired 14 straight and worked into the seventh inning, leading the Biscuits in a 5-3 win over West Tenn on Saturday.
The Diamond Jaxx went triple-double-lineout-Johan Limonta home run to start the game and led 3-0.
The Biscuits tied it on Leslie Anderson’s three-run homer in the third. Matt Sweeney doubled and scored on John Matulia’s single to put Montgomery ahead in the fifth. Chris Nowak singled in Rashad Eldridge in the sixth.
Cobb (3-2) left after the first two hitters in the seventh reached. Paul Phillips worked a perfect two innings and Matt Gorgen pitched the ninth for his 14th save.
