Biscuits pitching coach Bill Moloney, released from Jackson Hospital about 5 a.m. Tuesday after being shot late Monday night, lost $20 in the mugging.
"Twenty bucks, pistol-whipped and a gun shot later, it makes no sense," Biscuits hitting coach Ozzie Timmons said.
Biscuits manager Billy Gardner said the bullet went completely through Moloney's left leg and didn't hit a bone or any arteries, which is a good sign for his recovery. There is no definite timeframe for Moloney's return, Gardner said.
"It will be his decision," Gardner said. "The good thing is he's doing good."
