The Birmingham Barons' 9-7 win at the Tennessee Smokies today marked Birmingham's 10th straight win. That's the longest winning streak in the Southern League since the Mobile BayBears ran off 11 straight from July 2-13, 2011.
The Barons are 23-10 and have a 7 1/2-game lead in the North Division over the Smokies.
