Elih Villanueva won his third straight start with the Jacksonville Suns’ 3-0 victory over the Montgomery Biscuits on Saturday.
Villanueva (6-3) allowed four hits over eight innings and handing the Biscuits their sixth shutout loss of the season.
Biscuits starter Alex Torres (5-3) allowed no earned runs in six innings.
In the third, Jason Delaney scored an unearned run for the Suns. Vinny Rottino singled home Mike Stanton in the seventh and Matt Dominiguez homered to lead off the eighth.
The Biscuits had runners on the corners with two outs in the ninth. Matt Peterson faked to third and threw to first, picking off John Matulia to end it.
