Chris De La Cruz and Matt Sweeney homered to help the Biscuits beat the Birmingham Barons 3-2 on Sunday for their fifth straight win.
De La Cruz hit a solo homer in the third and Sweeney a two-run shot in the fourth. De La Cruz has three homers this year. It was Sweeney’s first with the Biscuits.
Jake McGee (2-4) gave up a run over six innings and is 2-0 with an 0.76 ERA in his last four starts. Jim Gallagher doubled and scored on Greg Paiml’s two-out single in the fifth inning.
Heath Rollins worked the final three innings for his first save. He surrendered a two-out homer in the ninth to Gallagher.

Do you where McGee's velocity is now. Also, do you know how his offspeed pitches are looking? And do you think he will be promoted soon?
He has touched 96, but I don't know where he was Sunday in the 98-degree heat. His off-speed pitches look good to me -- but I'm in no way an expert.
Promotion? All-Star break, maybe?? Pure guess there.
