Burnside, a Jeff Davis graduate who played at Auburn, was 2-0 in two starts for the Kannapolis Intimidators.
The 24-year-old right-hander threw a seven-inning, two-hit shutout May 30, the first complete game and first shutout of his career. He also won Saturday, allowing two runs over seven innings with 10 strikeouts.
Burnside is 5-2 with a 3.36 ERA this season. Kannapolis is affiliated with the Chicago White Sox.
