Biscuits pitching coach Bill Moloney was attacked by two unknown people who brandished a handgun and demanded property, according to the Montgomery police.
One struck Moloney with the gun and shot him once in the upper left thigh before the two fled the scene, said police spokeswoman Sgt. Donna Mackey. The investigation is continuing.
Police are asking that anyone with knowledge about the incident call the Montgomery Police Department at 241-2651, Secret Witness at 262-4000 or CrimeStoppers at 215-STOP.
