Guerrieri was the No. 10 overall prospect available in the draft, according to Baseball America. The right-hander went to Spring Valley High in Columbia, S.C., where he was 6-1 with 1.10 ERA this season.
Guerrieri, who has signed with South Carolina, has touched 98 mph, BA reports. He also has questions about his makeup. Spring Valley was his second high school after off-the-field issues at North Augusta (S.C.) High.
