Former Biscuits catcher Iker Franco was part of a championship celebration Friday when the Quintana Roo Tigers won the Mexican League title.
The Tigers finished off a four-game championship series sweep with a 13-9 win over the Mexico City Red Devils.
Franco, an Original Biscuit in 2004, hit .274 with 12 RBIs in 16 playoff games. Former Biscuits coach Mako Oliveras was Mexico City's manager this year. The Red Devils were 63-40 in the regular season, while Quintana Roo was 62-43.
