Luis Avilan and two relievers combined on a five-hitter in the Mississippi Braves' 4-1 win over the Biscuits on Tuesday.
Cole Figueroa was 3-for-4 for the Biscuits, who had just five runners safely reach second base. Figueroa scored in the ninth on a Greg Sexton groundout.
Avilan (4-8) gave up one hit and struck out eight in five shutout innings. Ernesto Mejia hit an RBI double in the first and walked and scored in a three-run sixth for Misssissippi.
