Biscuits pitcher Chris Archer has been promoted to Triple-A Durham, which is about 40 minutes from his family home. He was 8-7 with a 4.42 ERA for Montgomery.
"I feel that I'm just now starting to pitch well," Archer said. "I'm happy that, when the opportunity came to call up somebody, that they picked me because I haven't had the season I've wanted to have. They saw the hard work, and hard work does pay off."
