Wrigley grand slam leads to pitcher's ejection

Biscuits first baseman Henry Wrigley hit a grand slam in the eighth inning tonight to give Montgomery an 8-5 lead over the Mississippi Braves. When Braves reliever Brett Butts' next pitch hit John Matulia in the back, home-plate umpire Brandon Henson ejected Butts, a former Auburn player.

The benches didn't empty. One Mississippi coach came out seemingly to make sure the Braves stayed put. Manager Rocket Wheeler did discuss the ejection with Henson.

UPDATE: Would have hit him in the back, but got him in the elbow first.
