Pitcher Joe Cruz, whose season was seemingly over in early June when he left the Biscuits in early June, has joined high-Class A Charlotte's active roster.
Cruz is scheduled to start for the Stone Crabs in the opening game of a doubleheader Wednesday at Jupiter. The right-hander made four rehab appearances with the GCL Rays. He threw 13 2/3 shutout innings with six hits allowed, two walks and 16 strikeouts.
