Pedro Villarreal retired Montgomery's first 17 hitters and took a no-hitter into the seventh inning of the Carolina Mudcats' 8-3 win Monday.
Neftali Soto hit his 30th home run of the season, a two-run shot in the seventh inning that made it 7-0. He also singled and scored in the sixth and ninth.
Villarreal (7-3), who threw a four-hit complete game against the Biscuits on Aug. 14, left after Cole Figueroa and Henry Wrigley recorded Montgomery's first hits in the seventh. The Biscuits totaled three singles.
