Hudson Valley's Jeff Ames was the losing pitcher in Tuesday's New York-Penn League All-Star Game, an 8-1 win by the National League affiliates over the AL.
Ames worked the third inning and gave up the first run on two hits. Jose Molina, apparently a replacement for Marcus Jensen, who was listed on the original rosters released by the league, threw a hitless seventh and plunked a batter. Taylor Guerrieri worked the eighth and gave up a run on one hit.
Infielder Tommy Coyle and outfielder Joey Rickard were in the starting lineup. Coyle tripled and struck out in two at-bats. Rickard grounded out. Infielder Leonardo Reginatto singled in his only plate appearance.
