Derek Dietrich scored on Brett Nommensen's ninth-inning groundball to give the Biscuits a 4-3 win over the Jackson Generals on Saturday.
With the bases loaded and one out, Nommensen hit a soft groundball to second baseman Stefen Romero. Montgomery's Mike Sheridan, running from first, stopped rather than give Romero an easy tag and throw to first for a double play.
Romero looked home but would have been unable to get Dietrich. He threw to shortstop Brad Miller for a forceout at second. Miller's throw to first was way late.
Biscuits starter Matt Buschmann took a shutout into the seventh inning. Mayo Acosta hit a two-run double in the fourth and Ty Morrison knocked in Shawn O'Malley in the fifth.
