Kevin Kiermaier doubled home Craig Albernaz with the go-ahead run in the seventh inning and the Durham Bulls beat Pawtucket 2-1 on Wednesday.
Durham tied the best-of-5 International League championship series at one game apiece.
The Bulls trailed 1-0 before Jason Bourgeois singled and scored on a passed ball in the sixth inning.
C.J. Riefenhauser tossed two perfect innings with four strikeouts to pick up the victory. Kirby Yates worked a one-walk ninth for his third postseason save. Starter J.D. Martin gave up one run on just four hits in six innings.
Pawtucket hosts the remainder of the series beginning with Friday's Game 3.
