Marla Terranova Vickers, after her first year as Biscuits general manager, has been named the Southern League's Woman of Excellence for a second time.
Vickers became only the fourth woman in the minor leagues -- and the first at Double-A or higher -- this season, her ninth in Montgomery. She came to the city in 2003 to prepare for the team's inaugural 2004 season.
Vickers, who was also the league's Woman of Excellence in 2006, will be the league's nominee for minor league Woman Executive of the Year. That award is presented by Minor League Baseball at the December Winter Meetings.
