Selma High grad Jai Miller has been promoted to the major leagues by the Oakland A's, though Miller's Triple-A Sacramento team is still in the Pacific Coast League playoffs. Sacramento is play a decisive Game 5 of its semifinal series this afternoon.
Miller hit .276 with 32 home runs for Sacramento in the regular season. The 26-year-old played 20 games for the Kansas City Royals last year and one for the Florida Marlins in 2008.
UPDATE: Miller was 0-for-4 in his Oakland debut Sunday, an 8-1 loss at Texas.
