Bortnick crowned 2011 BCS/RPI champion

All hail, infielder Tyler Bortnick, king of the inaugural full-season BCS/RPI rankings.

I admit it's a belated list -- I thought I'd already posted the final results -- but the Rays are expected to name their organizational awards Friday. With that, this is just in time.

Bortnick scored 75 points over the course of the season's daily rankings. He landed among the top five 24 times and drew a organizational-best seven first-place nods.

In all, there were 157 players who drew at least one vote in the Biscuit Crumbs Standings/Rays Performance Indicator daily lists.
