Eldridge demoted to Biscuits

Outfielder Rashad Eldridge is returning to the Biscuits from Triple-A Durham.

Eldridge was hitting .215 with 20 runs scored in 34 games this year for the Bulls. He was 2-for-22 in his final eight games. The 28-year-old, who is in his 11th pro season, hit a combined .287 in 2008-09 for the Biscuits.

Catcher Ian Paxton moved off the active roster to make space for Eldridge.
