Or maybe I should say those guys are doing their best Jeremy Hall impressions.
Hall, with another eight innings tonight, has a 23-inning scoreless streak after Montgomery's 6-0 win over the Mississippi Braves. He gave up two hits, walked three and struck out three to win his third straight start.
Hall came out after throwing 95 pitches (62 strikes) and didn't take a crack at the team's first nine-inning shutout since Chris Mason in June 2007. Justin Garcia polished off the two-hitter with a seven-pitch ninth.
Hall's 23-inning streak ranks second on the Biscuits' all-time list. Battlin' Brian Baker worked 30 straight last year.
