Stadium starts flooding

Riverwalk Stadium's detractors predicted biblical-like flooding during construction. Well, it may have begun. The stadium has started leaking right behind the pitcher's mound. Stadium soon to be renamed Alabama River.

In reality, the pipe-hose connection broke. In the picture, assistant grounds keeper Bobby McAnnally is manually plugging the hole (as best he can) while Drew Ellis starts to sweep up the water. In an un-BP-like effort, head grounds keeper Lee Murray raced and turned off the water. The game will start on time.
