Rays take Seattle high school outfielder

The Rays picked outfielder Josh Sale of Seattle's Bishop Blanchet High School with their first first-round pick.

Here's what MLB had about Sale in their press draft pack ...
In 2009, Josh posted a .460 batting average with 13 homers and 49 RBI, and was named an AFLAC All-American. In addition, Sale is a three-time All-Metro League selection, including First-Team as a sophomore and junior. Josh became the first player ever to hit for the cycle during an Area Code game last summer. He has committed to play at Gonzaga next season.
