Biscuits pitcher Matt Moore made it back to Montgomery from Sunday's Futures Game in Phoenix as scheduled. Some of his luggage did not.
Moore's baseball bag, with his Futures Game jersey, cleats and glove in it, belatedly returned to Riverwalk late Thursday, in time to make his scheduled start Saturday. The bag apparently took an airline-induced vacation.
“I don't know what they did with it, but I'm glad it's here,” Moore said.
Moore, the Southern League leader in ERA and strikeouts, started breaking in a new glove and cleats when his bag went missing. He'll stick with his game-worn gear.
“I'm not superstitious,” he said, “but if you have your usual stuff, there's no need to change.”
