Bortnick, Moore have lead in full-season BCS/RPI

If you're curious, Charlotte second baseman Tyler Bortnick and little-known left-hander Matt Moore rank atop the full-season BCS/RPI standings. Through the end of July, Bortnick had 59 points and Moore 46.

Barring a collapse like the 2009 and 2010 Iron Bowls, Bortnick will be the top position player. He has a 19-point lead on Bowling Green outfielder Cody Rogers.

Moore's position among pitchers is more tenuous. He owns just a six-point advantage over Alex Colome.

59 -- Tyler Bortnick; 46 -- Matt Moore; 40 -- Alex Colome, Cody Rogers
38 -- Derek Dietrich, C.J. Riefenhauser; 37 -- Stephen Vogt; 35 -- Hak-Ju Lee; 34 -- Russ Canzler; 31 -- Greg Sexton; 30 -- Daniel Mayora, Robby Price

How about us keeping baseball and football separated.
